What it costs, line by line.

FAQ

Exporting: your questions.

Still have a question?

Talk to a real person who imports cars every day.

Do I pay UK VAT when exporting a car?

No UK duty or VAT is charged on the export itself. The destination country normally charges its own import taxes.

What happens to my V5C?

We complete the permanent export process with DVLA so the vehicle is removed from the UK register correctly.

Can you help with registration abroad?

Yes. We work with agents in major destinations and give you the documents you need for local registration.

Ready to see your costs?

Every fee itemised and explained. It takes about 60 seconds and there’s no obligation.
